An approved Bachelor of Science or Engineering degree with a minimum GPA of 3.0 is required. A working knowledge of statistics, matrices or linear algebra and experience in programming are desirable.

The program requires 30 hours (10 courses), with project and course-only options. The four required courses (12 credits) are:

  • CSE 704: Data Processing and Visualization
  • CSE 708: Data Analytics and Engineering Applications
  • CSE 817: Fundamentals of Big Data Analysis

North Carolina A&T has established a number of financial support opportunities for outstanding graduate students in order to enhance research and graduate education. These include fellowships, scholarships, assistantships and out-of-state tuition supplements. Students who are pursuing the thesis option will receive tuition support and a monthly stipend.
